What you will do...
You will prepare and study for the Envirothon, North America's largest high school Environmental Education competition. Preparation will be with your team and with other teams in Virginia.
Competitions start in March 2025 with Local (Regional), State, and International events.
Online Prep Sessions
Weekly or Bi-Weekly
Study the 4 Core Topics together with your team:
Soils
Aquatics
Forestry
Wildlife
and one additional presentation scenario.
For Virginia's 2025 topic, review the Monacan Indian Nation Scenario.
Field Study
All day training with Natural Resource Experts
State study sessions are announced on the Virginia Envirothon website.
Team field study session dates will be agreed upon by the group. The Virginia Master Naturalists and other field experts will train team members. Resources can be found at:

Regional / State / International
Local competitions begin in March / early April 2025
Virginia competition is May 18-19 at Mary Washington University
International Competition is July 20-26 at Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
State and International Competition winners receive scholarships and network with like minded peers and experts in their field of interest.
