We are excited to announce a special Field Study trip for October! Sweet Run State Park will host a Nocturnal Animals and Astronomy event Saturday evening (Oct 5) with a talk about nocturnal animals in the Barn and NoVA Astronomy club telescopes set up for stargazing after!

About the Event
Dusk is a magical time at the park. Join us at the main parking lot at 6:00 p.m. for an easy-paced hike where we'll be treated to the sights and sounds of nature at sunset. The Interpretive Center, aka the Barn, will be open from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm with family-friendly activities. At 7:30p.m. we'll gather behind the Interpretive Center for Northern Virginia Astronomy Club (NOVAC) members to orient us with a brief sky tour and look at deep space objects through their telescopes.
